Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain both featured for Jurgen Klopp’s side in midweek.

Oxlade-Chamberlain helped Liverpool to a 4-1 win in the Champions League in midweek, with the midfielder scoring an impressive brace in the contest.
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s second goal was particularly eye catching, as the midfielder hit a perfect long-range shot with the outside of his boot.
The goal earned Oxlade-Chamberlain a whole heap of praise, but Lovren saw it as an opportunity to wind his Liverpool teammate up.
“I’m really glad to see Ox score two goals, even if I told him the second one was lucky – he didn’t accept that,” he joked.
“It is great for his confidence and overall he needed that after he did not have so many minutes this season and the injury for last season. It’s great to have him back.”

The hope is that Oxlade-Chamberlain’s brace can help him get back to his best at Liverpool.
The 26-year-old has endured a difficult time of late due to injury, but now looks to be getting back to his best.
Whether Oxlade-Chamberlain’s impressive performance in midweek will be enough to push him back into Jurgen Klopp’s regular starting team now remains to be seen.
Liverpool are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Tottenham Hotspur.
