Dejan Lovren has reacted on Twitter after watching Roberto Firmino shine for Liverpool against Rangers at Ibrox – as a second-half masterclass saw Liverpool secure a brilliant 7-1 win in Glasgow, with Firmino scoring twice for the Reds.
With Liverpool struggling for form and consistency, 31-year-old Firmino is arguably his side’s best player this season. The Brazil international has eight goals now in all competitions, with his previous six coming in his seven league games.
Firmino also laid on an assist for Darwin Nunez, a classy little touch with his back foot to lay off Darwin Nunez. The Uruguayan made it three, after Firmino scored Liverpool’s first two. Mo Salah came of the bench to score a hat-trick.
Then, Harvey Elliott made it seven – after a VAR check. Responding on Twitter, ex-Liverpool defender Lovren posted an eight-word verdict on Firmino and his performance. The former Anfield man said Firmino was “enjoyable to watch”.

More than ever. If Liverpool have any sense, they should be preparing a deal to extend his stay in Liverpool by another 12 months. His form at this stage of the season alone, deserves it. He is sure to start against Manchester City.
