Could Dejan Lovren’s return for Liverpool come against Harry Kane and Tottenham Hotspur?

Jurgen Klopp spoke to the media today ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League game this weekend – and one segment in particular might interest Tottenham Hotspur hitman Harry Kane.
Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren is yet to kick a ball for the Reds this season due to injury.
But Klopp revealed to The Liverpool Echo that he expects the Croatia international – a runner-up at the World Cup this past summer – to be “ready to go” after the international break and if all goes well then that return will be against Tottenham.
Klopp’s side take on Spurs on September 15 – the first game after the next international break – and such an occasion might just excite Tottenham star Kane.
Lovren got the better of Kane when Croatia dumped England out of a World Cup semi-final last month, but the 24-year-old marksman has routinely embarrassed the Liverpool man in the past.
The German substituted Lovren after just 31 minutes when Tottenham thumped the Merseysiders 4-1 at Wembley last season, such was Kane’s tormenting of the ex-Southampton man.
If this turns out to be the rusty 29-year-old’s first game back, and Kane humiliates him again, then perhaps Klopp would have a lot to answer for.
