Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Dejan Iliev going out on loan from the Gunners.

What’s the story?

Arsenal have announced on their official website this afternoon that Iliev has joined Slovakia Super League side SKF Sered on a loan deal.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper will stay at Sered on loan for next season.

The North Macedonian has been at Arsenal since 2012, but he has yet to establish himself in the first team.

Iliev has been out on loan at SKF Sered, Jagiellonia Białystok and Shrewsbury Town since 2019.

What are Arsenal fans saying?

As you can see from the tweets below, Arsenal fans are confused how Iliev is still at the club despite being 26 year of age and not getting a chance in the first team.

Well, some of them anyway.

The 26-year-old has come through the Arsenal academy and was the captain of the Under-23 side in recent seasons in Premier League 2.

It is interesting that Arsenal are sending Iliev out on loan instead of selling him now.

Do Arsenal still think that he has a future at the club?

Or is Iliev’s wage too high for clubs to afford him?
