Celtic manager Ronny Deila has admitted that he is looking to sign three players on Bosman deals this summer.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has confirmed that he is targeting a trio of players who will all be available on free transfers this summer, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The Bhoys are pushing for a historic treble in Deila’s first season in charge, and with the Scottish League Cup already secured, it’s just the Scottish Cup and Scottish Premiership left to win – and Celtic are hot favourites to claim both trophies.

Already, some are turning their attentions to the summer transfer window, with plenty of speculation surrounding Celtic already doing the rounds.

Deila is reportedly targeting Hearts skipper Danny Wilson (per the Daily Mail), whilst NEC Nijmegen winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh has also been linked this week by the Scotsman.

It’s unclear what kind of budget Deila will be working with, and it may largely hinge on whether Celtic qualify for the Champions League group stages – but whether they do or not, hitting the Bosman market would be a good idea for Deila.

Out of contract players will be available on free transfers, and many players who fit into that category would be valuable additions for Celtic – and Deila confirmed on Tuesday that he has his eye on three such players, as reported by the Daily Mail.

“We have three players we are thinking of on Bosman but we haven’t agreed anything with anyone,” said Deila at a press conference on Tuesday.

Players like PSV Eindhoven winger Zakaria Bakkali (Scottish Sun) and Preston duo David Buchanan and Chris Humphrey have all been linked with Celtic (Express) in the last six months, and all are out of contract at the end of the season.

Buchanan and Humphrey both have experience of playing in Scotland having previously played for Hamilton and Motherwell respectively, whilst Bakkali is one of the young rising stars in the Netherlands, but has regressed this season, meaning PSV may not look to extend his contract.
