Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers striker Jermain Defoe played with Harry Kane at Tottenham Hotspur and is a fan of Gers star Alfredo Morelos.
Alfredo Morelos of Rangers
Defoe, who joined Rangers on loan from Bournemouth in the January transfer window, was at Tottenham when English compatriot Kane was starting to emerge.
The 25-year-old striker is now one of the best players in the world in his position and is a key figure in the current Tottenham team.
Former West Ham and Tottenham striker Defoe has compared Morelos to Kane.
Defoe told The Daily Record about Morelos: “And if you are asking me if he is good enough to play in the Premier League, of course. I believe that if he played in the Premier League, he would score goals.”
The Rangers striker added: “I remember at Tottenham, when we had Harry Kane as a youngster, he went out on loan to different clubs.
“I remember saying to one of the players that I believed he should play more and that, at some point, he would go on to score a lot of goals for this football club.
“What he has done is unbelievable and Alfredo’s got that. He’s a goalscorer. When you’re a goalscorer, you score goals at any level in any league.”

Promising talent
Morelos is arguably the best striker in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and has established himself as an important player in Steven Gerrard’s Rangers team.
The Colombia international striker has been playing well for Rangers this season and has been banging in the goals for fun.
According to WhoScored, Morelos has made 22 starts and one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers so far this season, scoring 15 goals in the process.
