Patrick Vieira has suggested that Daniel Ek will definitely try to buy Arsenal again on the ITV Football podcast.

Ek has already announced his intentions to takeover Arsenal, but his first bid for the club has been knocked back.

Stan Kroenke has insisted that Arsenal is not for sale, despite protests occurring outside the Emirates Stadium.

But Vieira, who is said to be part of Ek’s takeover plan, insists that the Spotify owner will not be backing down in his attempt to buy Arsenal.

And he has called for Kroenke to sell up for the benefit of the Gunners.

“He’s definitely going to try again,” Vieira said. “He’s going to be there for quite a long time. He’s a massive Arsenal fan, talking to him a couple of times, his desire and commitment to Arsenal Football Club will be fantastic.

“If the club is not for sale there’s nothing he can do, but he is going to be there and he’s going to wait, as he wants to buy the club.

“I think it’s really important because Arsenal is in a critical moment, and for me it is the right time for him to do his maximum and convince Kroenke to let him buy the club.

“The last couple of years I believe that the club don’t take the right direction and I believe it’s time for a change.

“If the change doesn’t happen I believe Arsenal will be in a difficult place.”

Vieira is one of a number of Arsenal legends who are backing Ek’s takeover bid.

Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp all also on board, which puts further pressure on Kroenke to sell up.

Kroenke now faces a crucial summer at Arsenal, as he looks to win the fans back around.

If the Gunners fail to invest and struggle again next term then the protests from supporters are only set to increase in numbers and volume.

But even if the club are successful, it seems like Kroenke will have to build bridges with Arsenal supporters to get them back on side, especially with Ek waiting in the wings to buy him out.
