Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed his plans to play Jordan Henderson against Burnley.
The midfielder missed the Reds’ game against Leicester with a slight back problem, but the issue has seemingly now subsided and Klopp says he will be back for the Merseyside club’s game against the Clarets.
Klopp says that if all goes to plan, he will definitely be using Henderson against Burnley.
What’s been said?
The German gave an update on his captain.
“Hendo, yes, Hendo will definitely be back, that’s the plan, it was the plan before the game and it’s the plan now. If nothing happens he will play on Sunday,” Klopp said.

Boost
This is a real boost for Liverpool as they get ready to face an incredibly congested fixture schedule.
The Reds have to play 11 games over the next five weeks, and Klopp’s squad will undoubtedly be stretched throughout this run.
Henderson’s return will not only provide the Anfield outfit with added depth, but he also adds that extra bit of quality in the midfield, and that’s before we mention the effect his leadership abilities have on the team.
It will be great to see Henderson back on the pitch, and his return is coming at the perfect time as Liverpool prepare for what will be an incredibly physical battle against Burnley.
