Aston Villa boss Dean Smith has told the Birmingham Mail that Keinan Davis has a real chance of playing against Leeds United.
Davis has made just one Premier League substitute appearance so far this campaign, after suffering badly with injury.
But the target-man is set to return to Villa training today and if he comes through the session unscathed, Smith has suggested he could be in the claret and blues’ squad tomorrow.
“Davis has definitely got a chance (vs Leeds). He should be training tomorrow (Thursday),” he said yesterday.
Davis will only likely start on the bench for Villa, but he could be a useful impact substitute.
While Ollie Watkins has quickly established himself as Villa’s first-choice striker, Davis has qualities that could make him a threat late on.

The 22-year-old is a real powerhouse and also possesses a decent turn of pace, which will surely cause problems against tiring defences.
Villa have made a perfect start to their Premier League season, and if they can make it five wins on the spin tomorrow then confidence will only grow even further.
