Stan Collymore has said that Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney would flourish at Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Arsenal and Scotland international left-back Kieran Tierney has been linked with a move to Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

Football Transfers have reported that City manager Pep Guardiola wants to sign Tierney in the summer of 2023.

Newcastle United have also been linked with the £110,000-a-week left-back (SalarySport).

Former Liverpool star Stan Collymore believes that Tierney would be a huge success at City, adding that the Arsenal left-back should pick the Citizens over the Gunners.

Kieran Tierney should leave Arsenal for Manchester City

Collymore wrote: “Tierney has struggled with injuries during his career, but if he can get a handle on that he is without a doubt a top-level player, and if he went to the Etihad I think he could be to Man City what Andy Robertson is to Liverpool.

“Tierney is definitely capable of being that under-the-radar type of signing that could go on to be one of the club’s most reliable players.

“If he did end up going to Man City, it would be a big blow to Newcastle United who have been heavily linked with him for several months.

“The Scotsman would be great for Newcastle, he’d fit their profile perfectly but if he has the choice of them or Man City, he is likely to pick the latter, for obvious reasons.”

In our opinion, if Kieran Tierney gets the chance to leave Arsenal for Manchester City, then he should take it.

The 25-year-old is not getting playing time at the Gunners, and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.

City have just won the Premier League title for the third season in a row.

The Scotland international has had injury problems during his time at Arsenal, but when fit and on form, he is a force to be reckoned with.

We have seen how good Guardiola is with players, and we think that the City manager would be able to get Tierney to another level.
