Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Danny Rose’s comments about joining Newcastle United on a permanent basis.
Rose moved to Newcastle on loan from Premier League rivals Tottenham in the January transfer window.
The England international left-back is scheduled to go back to Spurs at the end of the season.
The 30-year-old former Leeds United prospect has said that he wants to join Newcastle on a permanent contract, adding that his days at Spurs are numbered.
Rose told Newcastle’s matchday programme: “It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that my days possibly are numbered at Spurs, and I’m playing for my future.
“There’s no bigger motivation for me. It’s probably the first time in my career where I’ve been in this situation – never have I been down to less than one year on my contract – so it’s a new experience for me.”
Rose struggled to play regularly and consistently well for Spurs before he switched to Newcastle.
The left-back has not been at his best for a while, but he is starting to do well at St. James’ Park.
According to WhoScored, Rose has made six starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Newcastle.
The left-back made 10 starts and two substitute appearances in the league, and played four times in the Champions League for Spurs this season before his loan move to the Magpies, according to WhoScored.
Some Tottenham fans have given their take on Rose’s comments about his future on Twitter.
