Speaking to Amazon, Phil Foden has reserved some special praise for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
The Spaniard, of course, worked with Foden during his time at Manchester City, and it’s fair to say that the Gunners boss made quite the impression on the England international during his time at the Etihad.
It was well-publicised at the time that Arteta did some extensive work with Foden on a one-to-one basis, and Foden seemingly enjoyed his time working with Arteta.
Indeed, the youngster labelled the Arsenal boss as ‘unbelievable’ stating that he’s a great coach.
What’s been said?
Foden spoke about what it was like to work with Arteta.
“Unbelievable you know. I remember working with him closely after training on some things I needed to improve. I know how good he can be as a coach. Thinking the right ways to play football, so he’s definitely a great coach,” Foden said.
Must be special
It’s fair to say that Mikel Arteta must have something special about him if he’s impressed Phil Foden.
Foden has spent the entirety of his senior career working under Pep Guardiola – arguably the greatest manager of all-time, so for Arteta to have made an impression, he must be doing something right.
Say what you will about the results Arteta has gotten during his first two-and-a-half seasons at Arsenal, anyone who has worked with him has only ever had good things to say about him, and now, Arsenal finally seem to be moving in the right direction under his management.
Arteta is a brilliant young coach who is seemingly earning respect up and down the footballing world.
