Arsenal fans have reacted to Kaveh Solhekol’s quite stunning claim on Sky Sports on Tuesday night, as the European Super League drama unfolded.
The Sky reporter claimed that one of the owners from the top-six club went to a game and ‘didn’t even know what colour shirt his side were playing in’, as he told Sky Sports.
Without putting a name to his statement, Arsenal fans are certain that it’s their owner, Stan Kroenke.
The American wasn’t a popular figure at Arsenal, in the first place, and with all the drama surrounding the ESL, his popularity has only hit well below rock bottom and even further.
Kroenke is one of those faceless and absent Arsenal owners, so it’s understandable that the fans are linking his name to Solhekol’s claim.
Either way, it’s something that is believable given the mess of ownership in this country with certain Premier League clubs
And with this ESL fiasco making matters worse, it only increases the speed at which fans want the owners of their club to sell up.
