One Manchester City player has confirmed that talks are being planned with Pep Guardiola about the next steps after a successful loan spell.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City won their fourth Premier League title in a row last month and attention has now turned to what the Citizens will be doing in the transfer market this summer in terms of incomings and outgoings.
In the background for City is the legal drama that has ensued between the club and the rest of the Premier League as HITC have reported. This legal drama is different to the 115 charges against the club which City have denied.
Despite this, the show goes on at the Etihad Stadium with the club hoping to win their fifth league title as well as looking to take back their European crown from Real Madrid.

City player set for talks
The future of key players are set to be called into question this summer with question marks remaining about Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne, who has spoken openly about why the Saudi Pro League would appeal to him.
Another player, however, in Yan Couto, who was on loan at Spanish side Girona, who are part of City Football Group, is set for talks with Guardiola, according to the Brazilian.
“I had a very good season at Girona,” Couto told UOL. “Now that my loan ends, I’m looking at what to do for the future, but I’m with Manchester City. I have a contract with them until 2026, I’m going to talk to them this summer. We’ll sort it out and leave it in the hands of my manager,” he said.
“The season isn’t over for me. There’s the Copa América, and I’m going to stay focused here. There’s a long window, and I’ll leave it in their hands to decide the best destination for me.”
Couto’s time in Girona
City completed the signing of defender Couto from under the noses of FC Barcelona back in 2020 on the morning of their Carabao Cup final victory over Aston Villa.
The Brazilian defender excelled as a teenager and was linked with a move to Catalonia but City prevailed. Since that move to the club, Couto has still yet to make a first team appearance for the Citizens.
This season, Couto featured in 34 La Liga games for Girona, scoring once and providing eight assists. A move away from City is looking to be his best bet of first team football.
