Arsenal have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Colin Dagba, as TuttoMercatoWEB note the Paris Saint-Germain ace is urging Mauricio Pochettino to sanction a transfer with Mallorca.
Dagba is unwavering in his desire to leave Le Parc des Princes before the market shuts on Monday. The 23-year-old has only made five appearances across all competitions so far this season. He has also opened the action just three times, including in two Ligue 1 games.
Pochettino firmly views the right-back as his third-choice option behind Achraf Hakimi and Thilo Kehrer. So, Dagba believes he must leave Paris in the mid-season market in search of more regular minutes. But PSG are not entirely convinced they can afford to let him leave.
While Dagba is only Pochettino’s third-choice right-back, Paris Saint-Germain still question if they can afford to lose defensive depth. As such, the former France U21 international is now working to convince both his manager and club to sanction a last-ditch winter switch.
Serie A outfit Venezia have approached PSG to sound out the former Boulogne prospect’s availability in the January sales. But Dagba considers Mallorca as his preferred destination. The La Liga side are also waiting to see if the full-back can change Pochettino’s opinion.

Dagba, who Foot Mercato have linked with Arsenal in January, would join a relegation fight by completing any transfer from runaway Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain to Mallorca.
Luis Garcia’s Son Moix side sit 17th in the Spanish top-flight with just a two-point gap to the drop zone. But Los Piratas have a game in hand over Cadiz in 18th and 16th-place Getafe.
Garcia will hope Dagba will help improve Mallorca’s defensive record if the Arsenal target seals a transfer from Paris Saint-Germain. The Balearic Islands outfit have so far recorded six clean sheets this term. But they have only shut out the opponent once in their last six.
