Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata has struggled for playing time this season.
Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata has revealed to The Glasgow Evening Times the discussion he has had with manager Brendan Rodgers.
Boyata was a regular for Celtic during the 2015-16 campaign when Ronny Deila was in charge.
The former Manchester City defender, though, has struggled for playing time for the Bhoys so far this season.
The Belgium international has featured just three matches for the Hoops under manager Brendan Rodgers, who was appointed in his role in the summer of 2016.

The 26-year-old, who moved to Celtic from Premier League giants City in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be around £1.5 million, has revealed the discussion he has had with Rodgers.
“To be honest, the manager has been talking to me,” Boyata told The Glasgow Evening Times. “He has told me what to expect for myself. He has told what was missing and what I had to work on.
“The moment he thought that he had got what he needed he gave me my chance. To be honest, it was very difficult for me, but told me why I wasn’t playing. I just had to work and get to where he wanted me to get to.”

Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 61 points from 21 matches.
The Glasgow giants are 19 points clear of second-placed and Old Firm rivals Rangers and have a game in hand.
The Hoops will return to action this afternoon when they take on Heart of Midlothian at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership.
