Dedryck Boyata sends message to Celtic on Instagram

Dedryck Boyata is leaving Celtic for Hertha Berlin in the summer transfer window.

Dedryck Boyata has sent a message to Celtic on Instagram as he prepares to leave the Glasgow giants.

Boyata is leaving Celtic this summer and is moving to German club Hertha Berlin on a free transfer.

The 28-year-old central defender joined the Hoops from Premier League club Manchester City in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £1.5 million.

The Belgium international was a very good player for Celtic over the past four seasons, and helped the Hoops win the Scottish Premiership title four times among other major trophies.

Boyata has sent a heartfelt message to Celtic on Instagram, as the defender leaves Celtic Park.

Replacing Dedryck Boyata

Boyata is one of the best players at Celtic and is arguably the best central defender at the Hoops, and it is imperative that the Glasgow giants find a suitable replacement for him.

Defence has been a problem for the Bhoys this season, and manager Neil Lennon needs to address that area this summer.
