Dedryck Boyata left Celtic this summer after four years in Scotland.

Former Celtic centre-back Dedryck Boyata is hoping to turn over a new leaf in Germany.
Not only did the Belgium international make his Hertha Berlin debut in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Bochum, but it was also Boyata’s first appearance for any club in four months due to injury.
The 28-year-old left Celtic as a free transfer this summer after spending four successful years at Parkhead.
Here is how Boyata reacted to his debut for the Bundesliga side on Instagram.
Boyata was a divisive figure among many Celtic fans for the most part last season, having reportedly refused to play in a Champions League qualifier away to AEK Athens in an attempt to force a move away last August.
He wound up being kept for the final year of his contract and won a lot of supporters over, en route to helping the Scottish giants to a third successive domestic treble.
Here’s how Celtic fans responded to his Instagram post:
kjbhoy: Miss u big guy
johnboy_jwassle: Good luck in Berlin Dedryck. Always an Invincible
finnmaleyy: Look better in green n white
johnmack87: Good luck big chap
scottish_football_news._: Well in big man
bhoy1967: All the best Dedryck
lindajbarr: miss you dedryck
The former Manchester City youth, who joined the Bhoys under Ronny Deila in 2015, won eight major trophies in Scotland.
