Rangers fans have been wondering where summer signing Fashion Sakala has been with the striker missing from pre-season so far, however, that all changed today as the Zambian arrived to get started – with fans on Twitter delighted to see him finally join his team-mates.
After arriving in Scotland, Sakala has had to quarantine before being put through his paces, and he could make an appearance next week when the Light Blues face Blackpool.
Sakala signed a pre-contract deal with Rangers earlier this year after an impressive season with Belgian side KV Oostende.
The 24-year-old hit the net 16 times for the Belgians and will be hoping he can hit the ground running for Steven Gerrard’s side.
With a host of competition for places in the Rangers side, Sakala’s arrival will only make it even harder to nail down a regular starting place – and could lead to the Light Blues deploying various different systems over the season.
Fans on Twitter were delighted to see him finally arrive at the club’s training ground – with one Rangers supporter saying they love the Ibrox new boy already.
