Rio Ferdinand has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to West Ham United winning against Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League last night and has sent a message to the Hammers and midfielder Declan Rice.
West Ham got the better of Zagreb 2-0 away from home in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Michail Antonio put the Hammers in the lead in the 21st minute, and Declan Rice made it 2-0 on 50 minutes.
Former United central defender Ferdinand is delighted to see Rice and West Ham win and has sent them the following message on Twitter.
Winning in Zagreb is not easy for any team, and West Ham were really brilliant last night.
The Premier League team were the better team from start to finish and deservedly picked up all three points from the encounter.
Rice was a dominant force in the middle of the park and was arguably the best player in the match.
West Ham’s win last night has certainly enhanced their chances of winning the group and going through to the next stage of the Europa League this season.
