Declan Rice is set to join Arsenal and he has now been spotted training alongside another Gunners target in Joao Cancelo.

Arsenal target Joao Cancelo has been spotted alongside Declan Rice as they prepare for the new season.

Pre-season is upon us and that means friendlies and tours as part of the preparations.

Players often go off on their own though, taking part in training camps alongside other players.

Declan Rice is one of them as he prepares to finalise his move to Arsenal.

The West Ham United captain is expected to be confirmed as an Arsenal player very soon after a £105million deal was agreed.

Rice will hope to join Arsenal training soon but he has been working out at The Campus, a sports complex in the Algarve.

Portuguese photographer Andre Silva has now shared some photos on Instagram with Rice heavily featured.

Rice was joined by Portuguese internationals Bruno Fernandes, Rafael Leao and Joao Cancelo in Silva’s photos.

Rice has also shared his own photos from his trip to Portugal, posting workout shots alongside the message ‘back at it’.

The West Ham midfielder is likely just keeping fit and sharp whilst he waits for the green light to join the Hammers.

Arsenal fans may be hoping that Rice can get in Cancelo’s ear though and convince the Manchester City defender to join him in North London.

Fabrizio Romano reported in June that Arsenal had made contact to try and sign Cancelo.

The full back is returning to City this summer after Bayern Munich decided not to activate a permanent option after his loan spell.

City seemingly have no plans to bring Cancelo back into Pep Guardiola’s first-team picture and a sale seems likely.

Arsenal have invested massively in deals for Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and Rice, so another big addition would be a surprise.

Yet with Mikel Arteta seemingly seeking another full back who can play on both sides, Cancelo would fit the bill perfectly.

Rice isn’t even an Arsenal player yet but he may well be tempted to try and tempt Cancelo into joining him.
