Declan Rice claims that West Ham United’s players held a discussion at half-time against Crystal Palace, which inspired them to victory.

West Ham went into the break 1-0 down to the Eagles at the weekend, but they quickly turned things around.

The Hammers smashed in three goals in the second period, and went on to win 3-2.

And Rice said: “We said at half time on Saturday we’re still in the game, we’ve got another 45 minutes, let’s go out there and try to do what we did against Cardiff.”

West Ham scored their goals through Robert Snodgrass, Javier Hernandez and Felipe Anderson, as they went on to claim the three points.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side have now won three matches on the bounce, to increase optimism around the London Stadium.

Rice’s own performance in the contest was spectacular, although he did not claim any headlines.

West Ham are now in 11th place in the Premier League table, and sit only three points behind Everton, in seventh spot.
