West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has reacted to Jack Wilshere’s Instagram post as he trains with the Italian side, Como.

This time last summer, Wilshere was agreeing to cancel his contract at West Ham before re-signing for Bournemouth in the Championship.

The Cherries allowed the former England midfielder to leave this summer, after they lost in the play-off semi-final to Brentford.

Wilshere has openly spoken about his struggles during this stage of his career and how he expected to be at the top of his game by now.

Well, it seems as though Serie B side, Como, are providing him with a crumb of comfort during this difficult period of his life.

When Wilshere posted his thanks to Como for giving him a chance, several star names commented on his post, including Rice.

The England star posted: “Looking good brother.” Whilst Robert Snodgrass added: “Yes, mate. All the best.”

Championship striker and FIFA’s strongest player, Adebayo Akinfenwa also added: “Enjoyment is what it’s all about.”

It’s a crying shame what has happened to Wilshere’s career because, at this stage, many expected him to be running the show at both international and domestic levels.

Everyone will refer back to that game against Barcelona when he was a teenager and how he bossed the likes of Xavi and Iniesta.

But injuries have hurt him badly over the years and now he is paying the price.

However, the key thing is for Wilshere to enjoy his football once more because that’s one of the big reasons why he plays the game.
