West Ham youngster Declan Rice spoke to reporters after his side’s superb 3-0 win over Southampton on Saturday, and raved about the quality of Marko Arnautovic, labelling the Austrian as the best player he has ever played with, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The 28-year-old joined the Hammers from Stoke City in the summer of 2017, and despite initially struggling to settle in east London, he has firmly established himself as one of David Moyes’ most important players.

He has chalked up nine goals and three assists in 24 Premier League games so far for West Ham, and they have all come in his last 13 outings for the club.

Rice raved about Arnautovic’s quality, when speaking to reporters, suggesting that the former Stoke man is the best player he has ever played with, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“He’s (Arnautovic) an unbelievable player. He’s probably the best player I’ve played with, and he’s such a nice guy as well.”

Following Saturday’s win over the Saints, the east Londoners are all of a sudden looking upwards rather than behind them, and with just four points separating them from 10th placed Bournemouth, a place inside the top half of the table is still well within their reach.
