Arsenal have won the FA Cup once again, having beaten Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.

The Gunners fell behind to Christian Pulisic’s goal, but hit back with a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang brace to grab Mikel Arteta’s first piece of silverware.

However, there has been a huge fallout from the game, and it revolves around the performance of referee Anthony Taylor.

Few would really have complaints about Arsenal’s penalty, but Mateo Kovacic’s second yellow card has been slated for being very soft.

Emiliano Martinez also appeared to have handled the ball outside of his area, though the incident went unpunished to Chelsea’s bemusement.

The stats show that Chelsea committed 14 fouls in the game, whilst Arsenal were penalised for just two fouls in the game, which Chelsea fans feel is too large of a difference.

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice – formerly of Chelsea – took to Twitter to slate the decisions, sharing his bemusement at Taylor’s decisions.

Rice is being linked with a move to Chelsea to join best friend Mason Mount, and whilst Arsenal fans may not be impressed with him publicly criticising the decisions, Blues supporters will no doubt feel some affinity with him.
