Declan Rice was inspired as West Ham United drew with Chelsea at the London Stadium.

Declan Rice sent a message on Twitter after West Ham’s draw with Chelsea on Sunday, insisting that he was gutted with the result at the London Stadium.
The Hammers would have been underdogs for the clash with the Blues despite ending their wait for a win last time out with their 3-1 victory away at Everton.
Chelsea went into the game having not dropped a point in the league this term, but the Irons performed extremely well to nullify a Chelsea attack that has only been outscored by Manchester City so far this season.
Rice, in particular, was sensational in the draw. The youngster – who spent eight years on Chelsea’s books before joining the Irons in 2014 – continues to prove to be a revelation in that midfield, and his display was vital given the quality that the visitors boast in the middle of the park.

Interestingly, Rice suggested that he was gutted with the result. It is arguably an almost incredible statement from the starlet given that many supporters probably would have been pretty happy with a point before kick-off, but it undoubtedly highlights how the confidence has changed dramatically since the international break.
And in response, a number of West Ham fans lauded Rice for his performance, suggesting that he was one of the impressive players on the pitch, which is a remarkable achievement given the midfield that he was up against, as well as the fact that he is better known for being a defender.
