Speaking on the Official England Podcast, Declan Rice has given his verdict on Kalvin Phillips and the constant comparisons between himself and the Yorkshire Pirlo.
For one reason or another, Leeds and West Ham fans have clashed over their two star players over the past 12 months, with Whites and Hammers fans backing their players.
However, Rice has noticed that the two fanbases have seemingly united this summer after Rice and Phillips have proven once and for all that they can play together effectively.

Rice made a claim about the two fanbases while he was giving his verdict on Phillips.
“Yeah, me and Kalvin, a lot of people write us off or for some reason people always compare us. Like between Leeds and West Ham fans, but this summer Leeds and West Ham fans have somehow connected together and become friends! Me and Kalv have always been great friends, you see how good he is for Leeds and whenever there’s something on social media we always send it to each other on WhatsApp and we buzz over it to be fair,” Rice said.

It seems as though the Rice vs Phillips debate has finally come to an end.
Which player is better? Well, it’s still an argument to be had, but the reality is that it really doesn’t matter because they’re both brilliant together.
However, it will be interesting to see if this debate crops up again in the future. England have some very talented central midfielders coming through such as Jude Bellingham.
Gareth Southgate may once again be asked to choose between Phillips and Rice in the future, and if that happens, we’re sure that Leeds and West Ham supporters will make their thoughts known.
