Joe Hart has been somewhat indifferent at West Ham this season.

West Ham United defender Declan Rice has almost confirmed that Joe Hart will not be completing a permanent move to the London Stadium at the end of his loan, by posting a farewell message to the goalkeeper on his Instagram story.

Hart joined the Hammers on a season-long loan from Manchester City last summer, but his poor form has seen him dropped twice by manager David Moyes since the Scot took over.

A mini revival earlier this year saw Hart begin to silence some critics, but Adrian has since started between the sticks for the last four games of West Ham’s 2017-18 season. It has seen Hart’s chances of a World Cup call-up plunge into doubt.

Now, Rice has suggested that Hart will be returning to Manchester City ahead of what will be an interesting summer for the England international in terms of his future, with the Hammers opting against a permanent deal.

Joe Hart And Declan Rice

Rice, 19, has broken into the Hammers side this season and become a regular under manager David Moyes, making 31 league and cup appearances for the east Londoners.

Combining with Hart, the duo put on a number of impressive performances – most notably the 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Sun claim West Ham paid £120,000 of Hart’s £175,000-a-week wage during his Hammers loan, but that is likely to be wiped off the wage bill now if Rice has indeed signalled the end of Hart’s stay.
