Declan Rice has admitted to West Ham United’s official website that Andriy Yarmlenko shocks his teammates regularly in training.

Yarmolenko scored West Ham’s first goal in their 2-0 win over Manchester United yesterday, with the Ukrainian cutting inside and scoring brilliantly with a lovely finish.

The goal sent West Ham on their way to an impressive three points.

And Rice admits that Yarmolenko’s quality always shines through in training, as he is so talented.

Rice said: “He’s top. The technique he has got on him is really special. In training, sometimes the lads say ‘Wow’ as they’ve never seen anything like it. His left foot is beautiful so I’m buzzing that he has got another goal.”

Yarmolenko has experienced a frustrating time at West Ham so far, as injury has plagued him since he arrived.

However, the winger looks to be establishing a place for himself in Manuel Pellegrini’s side now.

Yarmolenko now has two goals for the season for the Hammers, and he is proving to be a real threat going forward.

West Ham’s win over United has pushed them up to fifth place in the Premier League table.
