Glagow Rangers defender Declan John will face competition from Lee Wallace at Ibrox, while Chris Sutton suggests that the Gers should apologise to Derek McInnes.
Wallace has returned to training after a long injury lay-off, and once he is fully fit and available for matches, the Rangers captain will be looking to re-establish himself in the Gers’ starting lineup.
In the absence of the 30-year-old left-back, John, who joined Rangers on a season-long loan deal from Cardiff City in the Championship in England in the summer transfer window, has established himself in Graeme Murty’s team.
The 22-year-old Wales international left-back has said that he is looking forward to the challenge for a place in the first team from Wallace.
“Of course, It’s always good to have two or three players in each position on the pitch, so I will be looking forward to that,” John told Rangers’ official website about Wallace’s impending return.
Meanwhile, former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has agreed with Aberdeen chairman Stewart Milne regarding Rangers owing an opinion to Derek McInnes.
Milne has been quoted as saying by The Daily Record that Rangers owe McInnes an apology for their statement following the Scotsman’s decision to turn down the chance to manage the Ibrox club.
