Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers brought in Declan John on loan last week.

Quoted by Rangers’ Twitter account and speaking to a press conference, Declan John has opened up on his loan move to Ibrox from Cardiff City in the Championship.
The 22-year-old will spend the 2017-18 campaign in Glasgow after falling out of favour under Neil Warnock in Wales

The two-time Wales international, who made only 15 Championship appearances last season, will provide cover for left-back Lee Wallace.
And John, quoted by Rangers’ official Twitter account, has revealed that he knew of interest from the Gers in the week before the window closed, and revealed what Warnock told him as he packed his bags for Glasgow.

John has previously had loan spells with Chesterfield and Barnsley so he should have enough experience to cover Wallace.
Saying that, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Myles Beerman, who was Wallace’s under-study at left-back last term.
