Trevor Sinclair feels Harry Kane produced a ‘brilliant’ performance at Manchester City and told talkSPORT that Tottenham Hotspur are a different side with Heung-Min Son playing.
Spurs shocked the Premier League leaders to win 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium with Kane firing home twice on Saturday. Son also laid on two assists away to Pep Guardiola’s side, with the South Korea forward feeding Dejan Kulusevski’s’ opener as well as Kane’s first of the night.
Son beat the Citizens’ offside trap before squaring the ball to January arrival Kulusevski in the fourth-minute. He then helped restore Tottenham’s advantage on the hour mark after Ilkay Gundogan’s equaliser, with the 29-year-old finding Kane to score from close range.

Son now has six assists and nine goals over his 20 Premier League appearances so far this season with Tottenham. He also created and scored once in the Europa Conference League in the group stage. The 98-cap star has played a combined 29 matches in all competitions.
Kane, meanwhile, moved on to 17 goals for the campaign in all competitions, with seven in Tottenham’s top-flight fixtures. He had only scored five during his prior 21 league outings in 2021/22. The 28-year-old had also gone three games without scoring before visiting City.
Sinclair feels Tottenham are a different side with ‘fit again’ Son
Son’s outing at Manchester City marked the £18m Tottenham dynamo’s third league game since returning from a muscular injury. The blow kept the winger sidelined during two top-flight matches, an FA Cup tie and Spurs’ Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg with Chelsea.

Sinclair feels his display at the Etihad showed the forward is now back fit. Handing Spurs boss Conte a big boost, as Son changes the way that Tottenham can operate beside Kane.
“Kane was brilliant,” Sinclair said. “Son played his part superbly well and he looks fit again. Tottenham are a decent outfit when he’s in the team.”
