The Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder could be Sheffield United bound.

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Lee Evans could be heading to Sheffield United, reports the Express & Star.

Evans has impressed on loan to Wigan Athletic this season, scoring three goals and making another eight for his teammates in 23 appearances.

And according to the Express & Star, Sheffield United have offered £750,000 for the Welshman, who was left out of Wigan’s squad to face Bournemouth on Saturday.

But what can Blades fans expect of Evans, who moved to Wolves four and a half years ago from a then non-league Newport County?

Evans may not be the only midfielder due at Bramall Lane this week, with Sheffield United closing in on a deal to sign Southend’s Ryan Leonard.

The Blades have won once in the league since the loss of another one, Paul Coutts, to a broken leg in late November.

Evans Wolves rival Jack Price could also be on his way out of Molineux after the Championship leaders accepted an offer from Colorado Rapids, reports the Express & Star.
