The Tottenham Hotspur player is yet to fire on all cylinders.
Tottenham Hotspur may have had a busy summer transfer window, but they could – and perhaps should – dip into the market again this January given their hit-and-miss form thus far.
While there are plenty of positives for Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino to take from the campaign to date, the form of £30million signing (the BBC) Moussa Sissoko is not one of them, and a recent report from Calcio Mercato claimed Italian due Inter Milan and Juventus were prepared to take the Frenchman on loan for the second half of the season.

While a temporary move would not solve the longer term problem of what do to with Sissoko if his form does not improve, it does mean that this month could be a vital one for the former Newcastle United man.
Even if Sissoko stays at White Hart Lane past January which, let’s be honest, is the likelier option, any continuing poor form could see Tottenham delve into the transfer market for a more able alternative.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has not always been quick to utilise the mid-season window, but he will know how important it is to strengthen at key times after his side fell short in the title race last time out.
Sissoko has a lot longer than a month to prove himself in North London, and yet for this season at least, December could be make-or-break.
Spurs take on CSKA Moscow, Manchester United, Hull City, Burnley and Southampton before the New Year and Sissoko is arguably the Tottenham player with the most to prove in that time.
