The Leeds United player has barely featured in recent times and will be hoping the additional matches this month could make all the difference.
December sees the matches come thick and fast for Leeds United, with Championship clashes against Brighton & Hove Albion, Reading, Brentford, Preston North End and Aston Villa in the next few weeks.
For that reason, Leeds will need all their first-team players fit and available, but it will be interesting to see how the month goes for youngster Alex Mowatt.

After all, the 21-year-old is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and he is barely getting a look-in under manager Garry Monk.
Since mid-October Mowatt has played just 15 minutes of league football, with three brief cameo appearances from the bench and three matches where he did not feature at all.
Pablo Hernandez’s injury seemed to open up a spot at number 10 only for Kemar Roofe to seize that, while Souleymane Doukara, Hadi Sacko and Stuart Dallas are all ahead of Mowatt in the pecking order for a wide role (where he rarely performs well anyway).

The festive period often means fringe players get chances as injuries, suspensions and simple fatigue all take their toll, and Mowatt will be hoping that is the case this time.
After all, if Leeds make it to the new year having not called on Mowatt, his time at the club could be coming to an end with little more than a squeak.
