Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Rickie Lambert revealed some of the things Mario Balotelli used to do at Melwood.

Speaking to the Straight From The Off podcast, Lambert said: “His head would just go. If it wasn’t going his way, he would just ruin the session basically. He’d kick the ball away, score an own goal.”

Now, this doesn’t surprise us in the slightest.

After all, this is a man who set fireworks off in his own bathroom, and also threw darts at Manchester City’s academy players.

Balotelli was simply crazy, and probably still is.

Liverpool haven’t made many signings who turned out to be as bad as the Italian misfit.

The 36-cap Italy international only scored four goals for the Reds in 28 appearances during the 2014/15 season.

In fact, Balotelli picked up more yellow cards than he scored goals for Liverpool – he was booked on seven occasions.

He lasted just one season on Merseyside before returning to AC Milan.

Having been blessed with Luiz Suarez the season before Balotelli’s arrival, Liverpool were really brought crashing back down to Earth by the Italian’s displays.

It was perhaps the worst £16 million Liverpool have ever spent.

It’s one thing to be delivering bad performances on the pitch, but when you’re completely ruining training sessions, that just isn’t on.

Lambert even told the Straight From The Off podcast that Balotelli would talk back to Brendan Rodgers at Melwood.

He is the complete opposite of a model professional.

For those of you wondering, Balotelli is now at Monza, who play in Italy’s second tier, Serie B.

So far this season, he’s scored four goals in ten appearances.

Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter thought about Lambert’s revelation…
