DeAndre Yedlin has told Newcastle United’s official website that the squad at St. James’ Park have all been very impressed by Kenedy since he arrived.

Newcastle have brought in Kenedy from Chelsea on loan until the end of the season, and the Brazilian has been thrown straight in at the deep end by Rafael Benitez.

Kenedy has started in Newcastle’s last two matches, against Burnley and Crystal Palace, and he has arguably been Benitez’s side’s brightest player in both contests.

Newcastle have managed to pick up draws in their last two matches.

And Yedlin claims that everyone in the Magpies’ squad has been very impressed by the impact that Kenedy has had.

“He’s been great. Any time a player can come in and contribute to goals, it’s fantastic,” the American defender said.

“It’s not easy to come into a new team and contribute straight away like that. We’ve all been very impressed by him. He’s doing a great job.”

Newcastle actually took the lead against Palace, when Mohamed Diame converted from a corner, but they could not hold on.

Palace scored their goal from the penalty spot, as Newcastle’s wait for a victory was extended to five matches.

Benitez’s side are currently in 16th place in the Premier League table, just one point above the drop zone.
