The 23-year-old went on to make 27 Championship appearances for Rafa Benitez’ men last term, alternating with Vurnon Anita in the right-back role.
Following the Dutchman’s release from the Magpies, however, Yedlin will be hoping for even more regular first-team action next term, as he looks to continue his development in the English game.
He sat down for an interview with the Washington Post and shared how happy he currently is with life at Newcastle:
“There’s something to be said for not worrying about the next move. It’s good to finally be settled in one place and hopefully for a long time. The passion here is like no other place in the country.”

The 45-capped international will surely play a key role for his club upon their return to the top flight next season, and it could prove to be a campaign that is the making of him as a footballer.
With so many years left until he actually reaches his prime, Yedlin could become one of the league’s best defenders, and Newcastle fans will be glad to know that he sees his future on Tyneside.
