Newcastle United supporters sold out their away allocation against Brighton & Hove Albion.

DeAndre Yedlin has told the Chronicle that Newcastle United’s players notice the ‘unbelievable’ support they receive from their supporters.

Newcastle have one of the most loyal fan-bases in England, with St. James’ Park typically one of the atmospheric grounds in the Premier League.

And Yedlin insists that Newcastle’s supporters’ backing of the team is not lost on him.

“Their support is unbelievable but we notice it and thank them for it,” the American defender said.

“We can hear them during the game and hopefully we can put on a great show for them at the weekend.

“We need to get the momentum going again before the international break.”

Newcastle sold out their entire away allocation against Brighton & Hove Albion in their last contest, despite the game being broadcast on television and being placed on a Sunday.

Newcastle’s fans also came in their droves last term, despite having to watch Championship football.

The Magpies support has so far been rewarded for their loyalty this term, as Rafael Benitez’s side have made a positive start.

Newcastle have won three of their first six Premier League matches, to move into 10th place in the top flight standings.

Newcastle are next in action this weekend, when they take on Liverpool at St. James’ Park.
