New Newcastle United signing DeAndre Yedlin has told the Chronicle he hopes to be at the club for a good amount of time.
The defender joined the Magpies late in the summer transfer window in a move from Tottenham Hotspur.
He arrives as a replacement for Daryl Janmaat, who left St James Park to return to the Premier League with Watford.
He is keen to establish himself in the North East, after finding himself unable to earn a first team place at Spurs, going on to spend last season on loan with Sunderland.

And he says it is nice to have that stability, adding he that he wants to be at the club for a good amount of time.
“It’s good to have a little bit of stability and I hope I will be at the club for a good amount of time,” he told the Chronicle.
“It’s a squad here but also an amazing team. There’s good healthy competition here.”

Yedlin will be keen to get settled at Newcastle as quickly as possible and establish himself in the Magpies first team.
He faces fierce competition to get into the team in that right back spot given the club have also signed experienced defender Jesus Gamez this summer.
With the Spaniard currently out injured, though, that provides the American with the perfect chance to make the position his own in the coming weeks.
