Newcastle have re-signed Kenedy on loan from Chelsea.

Newcastle United right-back DeAndre Yedlin has told the club’s official website that it is “great to have” Kenedy back on Tyneside after the Brazilian rejoined The Toon on loan.
Newcastle confirmed the re-signing of Kenedy on Thursday, with the 22-year-old rejoining the club until the end of next season after six months with Rafa Benitez’s side during the second half of the 2017-18 campaign.
Kenedy made 13 appearances for Newcastle during his previous loan spell, scoring two goals and laying on another two assists as The Toon climbed to a superb tenth place in the Premier League table.
USA international Yedlin described Kenedy as an “unbelievable player” and that it was great to have the Chelsea flyer back at Newcastle, with the player already in Ireland with the rest of the squad at the club’s training camp.
“All the team, all the fans, all the staff really wanted him back,” Yedlin said. “He showed that he is an unbelievable player, a great player for the last six months that he was here.
“He really helped us in our push to get tenth. So it’s great to have him back and hopefully he can continue to do with us what he did when he was on loan.”

Brazil youth international Kenedy joined Chelsea in the summer of 2015 from Brazilian side Fluminense, and has played 27 times for the Blues – scoring three goals for the west Londoners.
Kenedy becomes Newcastle’s third signing of the summer, with goalkeeper Martin Dubravka completing a permanent move from Sparta Prague for £4million while Ki Sung-yeung joins on a free transfer from Swansea City.
