Wigan Athletic and Leeds United were both winners on opening day in the Championship.

Dean Windass has suggested that he wishes his son, Josh, was playing for Leeds United.

Windass had an excellent first day of the season with Wigan Athletic, as he scored and helped his side to a 3-2 win over Cardiff City.

An eager Leeds fan who was watching asked Dean whether the £2.5 million striker (Scotsman) would consider a move to Elland Road.

And the response from Dean is sure to have caught the eye of some Leeds fans.

If Josh Windass was to move to Leeds he would offer Marcelo Bielsa’s side more creativity and speed up-front.

Leeds are not thought to have any interest in the Wigan forward at this moment in time though, so the move could be some way off.
