Glasgow Rangers midfielder Josh Windass, who has been linked with moves away from Ibrox, is defended by his father Dean Windass.

Dean Windass has defended his son and Rangers midfielder Josh Windass on social networking site Twitter.
The former Hull City and Aberdeen star has claimed on Twitter – quite boldly perhaps – that Rangers would not be in the top six of the Scottish Premiership without Windass.
The 49-year-old defended his son when a Rangers fan criticised him on Twitter.

Important player for Rangers
Windass has had issues with consistency, but the 24-year-old midfielder has been playing this season.
The former Accrington Stanley star has made 30 appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers this season, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists in the process, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 69 points from 37 matches, a point behind second-placed Aberdeen.

Future uncertain?
Windass has been linked with moves away from Rangers in the summer transfer window.
According to The Scottish Sun, Premier League duo Cardiff City and Burnley are interested in signing the midfielder from Rangers this summer.
