Aston Villa have taken the likes of Tyrone Mings and Kortney Hause on loan.

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith says he will wait until the summer before deciding on whether to try and sign Bournemouth’s Tyrone Mings and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Kourtney Hause on permanent deals, Sky Sports report.

“We’ll look at the two possibilities and plan around that, which you have to do. Tom Carroll’s gone back to Swansea and we have five players still here on loan – a couple with options to purchase them at the end of the season. We’ll be looking at that when we need to,” Smith admitted.

Villa have benefited from having several quality loan players this season, though not all will be realistic in terms of potentially signing them at the end of the season.

Top scorer Tammy Abraham will be pushing for a regular spot at Chelsea while Axel Tuanzebe may harbour hopes of featuring for parent club Manchester United in the future.

Bournemouth’s Tyrone Mings and Wolves defender Kourtney Hause seem the most plausible, yet much will depend on what division the Villans are playing in next season.

After a run of eight straight Championship wins, the Midlands club are fifth in the table and appear on course of a playoff semi-final showdown with near rivals West Bromwich Albion.

Promotion to the Premier League will no doubt alter Villa’s plans in the transfer market, while remaining in the Championship could prompt the club to start cutting back in terms of finances.

Hause and Mings especially have performed well during Villa’s impressive run of form. The latter was an £8 million record buy for Bournemouth back in 2015, although he has rarely featured for the Cherries due to a series of long-term injuries.
