Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn has impressed since arriving at Villa Park.

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith’s attention to detail has been highlighted through his comments on John McGinn.
McGinn has impressed since arriving at Villa, with the midfielder proving to be a big hit.
But Smith has spotted a flaw in his game, in the sense that his desire often leaves him vacating his position.
Smith said to the Birmingham Mail, after Villa beat Bolton Wanderers 2-0 on Friday: “I thought McGinn was magnificent. He makes those runs all the time and you have to stop him sometimes and tell him to stand still.”
The comments show the raising standards at Villa, with Smith now at the helm.
Steve Bruce was generally very satisfied after a win, but Smith has found flaws in Villa’s performance and in McGinn’s style of play.

McGinn could now develop into a more improved player under Smith’s tutelage, as Villa look to go from strength to strength.
The Villans are currently in 14th place in the Championship table, with their next match coming against in-form Derby County at Pride Park.
