Dean Smith has told the Aston Villa’s official website that he will urge his players to be good teammates with his final words before his side walk out at Wembley.

Villa are set to take on Derby County in the play off final on Monday, in what is one of the most pressurised matches in football.

The prize on offer for the winner is absolutely huge financially.

And Smith does not want any of his Villa players trying to be the hero on their own.

“I will say: be a good team-mate,” Smith said, when asked about the team-talk he was planning at Wembley.

Villa head into the play off final as the favourites, after a quite remarkable run of form.

Smith’s side have been brilliant since February, and have picked up wins relentlessly.

The claret and blues made it to the final by beating West Bromwich Albion on penalty kicks.

Villa also got to the play off final last year, but they will be desperate to avoid a repeat of that occasion, where they were beaten by Fulham.
