Wolverhampton Wanderers pushed hard to take Tammy Abraham away from Aston Villa last month.

Wolverhampton Wanderers pushed hard to sign Abraham from Chelsea, as reported by BBC Sport, but Abraham opted to stick around at Villa.
And Smith says that is the transfer business that he is most happy about, even though Villa made four new additions.
“We were pleased with the business on a whole, especially keeping hold of Tammy (Abraham),” Smith said.
“We got Tommy Elphick, Andre Green and Jed Steer back from their loan spells and brought in Tyrone Mings, Kortney Hause, Lovre Kalinic and Tom Carroll, so it’s been a productive window.
“We are where we are now and we know what we have within the squad, so I’m looking forward to the last 16 games.”
Abraham has taken the Championship by storm since arriving at Villa, and currently leads the division’s goalscoring charts.

The Chelsea loanee has hit 19 goals in 24 league appearances this season, putting him joint top of the scoring standings with Billy Sharp.
If Villa had lost Abraham he would have been almost impossible to replace, but his decision to stick around means that Smith’s side are still in with a chance of promotion.
Villa are currently playing catch up in the race to bag a top six spot, as they are currently four points away from the play off places.
