Aston Villa star Jack Grealish is one of the best players in the Championship.

Aston Villa manager Dean Smith has told The Express & Star that he can improve Jack Grealish further.

Grealish, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, is one of the best players in the Championship.

The 23-year-old recently signed a new contract with the Villans, and new manager Smith has said that he can improve him further.

When asked about what message he would give Grealish, Smith told The Express & Star: “I’d rather give my message to him personally, to be honest, and I will do, but he’s a bright talent at this football and one we feel we can improve further.”

Warning for Championship rivals

Grealish has not exactly been in great form for Villa so far this season, but one of the main reasons for that is that the attacking midfielder was not deployed in his best position by Steve Bruce.

The 23-year-old is still quite young and is developing, and if he continues to improve and gets back to his best, then it will be tough for opposition defenders to keep him in check.

Brentford Manager Dean Smith looks on prior to the Sky Bet Championship match between Brentford and Birmingham City at Griffin Park on October 2, 2018 in Brentford, England.

Villa are 15th in the Championship table at the moment with 15 points from 12 matches, just four points behind sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday.

The Villans will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Swansea City at Villa Park in the Championship.
