West Bromwich Albion welcome Aston Villa to the Hawthorns on Friday night.

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s clash with West From on Friday night, and delivered an injury update on three of his key players, as quoted by the club’s official YouTube account.
The Villans are in the midst of a fine run of form, having taken 13 points from their last five Championship outings, and they currently sit in eighth spot in the table, just three points adrift of the play-off places.
Since Smith took over as manager of the west Midlands outfit, Aston Villa seem to have been transformed into a real force, and many are tipping them to achieve promotion back to the Premier league this season.
Friday’s clash with West Brom will go a long way to deciding Villa’s fate this season, and Smith gave an injury update ahead of his side’s trip to the Hawthorns on Friday night, as quoted by the club’s official YouTube account:

“Albert will struggle for West Brom, he’s still a bit sore and stiff, but he should be back for the week after. Lansbury is probably a week or two away and Bjarnason has started jogging now so hopefully we’ll get him on the training ground working with us soon.”
Aston Villa do have an incredibly strong group of players, so they should be able to cope without the three players mentioned, but the sooner that they are back, the better, as far as their promotion hopes are concerned.
