Everton-owned winger Yannick Bolasie played well for Aston Villa against Derby County at the weekend.
Smith made the comments about Bolasie, who joined Villa on loan from Premier League club Everton in the summer transfer window, following the Villans’ 3-0 win against Derby County in the Championship at the weekend.
The former Crystal Palace winger came on as a substitute in the 70th minute and played an important role in Villa’s victory at the Pride Park Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The 29-year-old took one shot which was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 80%, took 16 touches, and attempted one dribble, according to WhoScored.
Villa manager Smith has spoken highly of Bolasie, and believes that the Everton-owned winger is getting better and better.
Smith told Villa’s official website about Bolasie: “He’s getting better and better. That comes with game time and match exposure.
“He’s put a superb ball in for the goal. He’s looked really bright and has shown us what he can do.”

Bolasie is a very good and tricky winger, and the 29-year-old’s recent performances have been very encouraging.
It is only a matter of time before the winger starts matches regularly for Villa in their quest to finish in the Championship playoffs this season.
